Praying
One of the highlights from this past year was Good Friday service. It was the most meaningful service in which we have been involved. We were all challenged to go to the foot of the cross
individually while Easter music was quietly playing. While we stayed in our seats, we were reflecting on Christ’s death and resurrection. When it was our turn to go up to the cross, we were so broken and humbled. The special time of prayer that we had with God at the foot of the cross will always be remembered and cherished. Some knelt at the cross, some lovingly touched the cross, some wept openly and others
silently and humbly prayed. It was special to see everyone’s response to Jesus.
Bonding

Over the summer we had a team that started pouring a concrete slab for our recreation center. They were disappointed they couldn’t finish it, but this turned out to be a blessing. Later we had an all church workday to continue pouring the slab. This day was a special day where the church family, from five years old to eighty-five years old, came and worked. Actually our dear widow who was eighty-five came and sat in a chair and enjoyed everyone’s fellowship. A missionary pastor and his wife from one of our supporting churches were visiting and able to share this day with us. Even though it was an especially hot day, all worked very hard from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We enjoyed spending time with our brothers and sisters in this type of setting. It was a bonding experience and we were all working together for the church—something eternal.

Providing
We are humbled with God’s provision over this past year. Two teams brought down clothes for our family and even left food for us to enjoy. God has always abundantly provided for our needs and we are grateful.
Learning
We thought each of us would share with you what we have been learning over this past year:
- Dana: To control my temper when I am angry.
- JD: To obey right away with a happy heart.
- Lynda: To not be so concerned about planning for the future that I miss the joy of the “present”.
- Bud: To do God’s work while I can before He returns. Trusting God to enable me to do the things He asks of me.
Please pray that we will be teachable and that we will take time to continue to grow spiritually so we can be used by Him in all that we do.
What can I give Him?
By Christine Rosetti
What can I give Him poor as I am,
If I were a shepherd, I would bring Him a lamb.
If I were a wise man, I’d sure do my part,
What can I give Him?
I’ll give Him my heart.
Looking
After reflecting over this past year and remembering the baby dedications, baptisms, salvations, and rededications, we are looking forward to seeing what God is going to do in people’s lives next year. We look forward to witnessing God’s hand at work in the church. It is so rewarding to see changed lives because of Christ and it is so humbling to know God desires us to be involved in what He is doing. We want to be continually looking for ways God is working and building into our lives a habit of noticing what He is doing even in the little things. We are thankful that He never gives up on us, but always beckons us to “come”. Thank you all for your involvement in our lives and in the ministry here.
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas!!!
